Transformation Tuesday – Brandon Spinner

This week’s highlighted athlete is Brandon Spinner. He started at the gym in June 2019 and carried over as a CFI founding member. Here’s what he has to say:

“I’ve been an athlete my entire life, always thinking I was in pretty good shape. I started weightlifting and working out around 11 or 12 years old, and played multiple high school sports. I was a college athlete. However, I can honestly say that this is the fittest I have ever been, and I think most of that is due to CrossFit. 

We’ve all heard the stereotypes about CrossFit and admit I too had my concerns. Those stigmas however, couldn’t be further from the truth. My lifts have gotten stronger and my form has dramatically improved. I’ve learned most gymnastics moves with the help of great coaching and support. I never thought that I would compete in a CrossFit competition, but I’ve done three now and hope to compete in more. 

Even my diet and nutrition have improved. Last fall I participated in the gym’s 6 week nutrition challenge. With the help from the coaches I was able to drop 3% of my body weight. While change is a choice YOU have to make for yourself, rest assured you won’t be doing it alone. Not only will the coaches push you but the support of the CFI family is truly the greatest!”
